Beatdate
A downloadable game
Beatdate
A plug-and-play groovebox for the Playdate. Open it and there's already a beat playing — depth comes from gestures, not menus. Turn the crank to nudge tempo, sweep FX, or scratch a sample like a turntable.
Features:
• 6 tracks — kick, snare, hats, bass, chords, lead
• FM synth engine with editable sounds and presets
• Musical scales, per-step velocity, probability and note length
• Sequences, bars and a 4×4 song mode to build full tracks
• Crank-driven vinyl scratch + turntable mode
• Sample recording via the mic, slicing and time-stretch
• 100% on-device, runs on real hardware and the Simulator
Work in progress
Beatdate is in active development. I'm pushing the Playdate as far as the little machine will let me, and the app keeps improving with every build. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome — drop a comment.
Other consoles?
Beatdate is built for Playdate, but if there's real interest in a version for another device, I'm open to exploring it. Let me know.

Im also curious how this will interact with dac mp3 amplifier
Oh, I don't have one here, but if you have the correct cable, I think you can connect easily. Tell me if you test, please!
can we add own samples and loops?
Hi!
Is not possible today, but I'm working on this for the next version.
I will post here when this new was ready!
uh how do i get into turntable mode?
Hey! Thank you for your download
If you press A + B and the arrows to the left or right, you can select different control options with the crank.
One is a manual to reproduce the beat with the crank, and
the other is a scratch. If you enter to scratch, you need to record one sound to scratch it.
Please, if you have time to post feedback, it is very important for me!
Cheers,
alan
Thanks
To you brother!
I will test Stepper!
